About the instructor

Arpan is a teacher of Meditation, Classical Yoga, and Advaita Vedanta, offering guidance rooted in traditional lineage, lived experience, and deep inner inquiry. With over a decade of teaching and practice behind her, Arpan’s journey has been one of healing, service, and devotion to the timeless wisdom of the Self.

Born in Nepal and having worked for many years in the vibrant flow of Mumbai, Arpan later felt called to the stillness of the South Indian spiritual landscape. There, she immersed herself in the teachings of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi and also underwent formal training as a certified yoga teacher from Sivananda Ashram, Neyyar Dam.

Her path unfolded further in the U.S., where she lived and served at the Arunachala Ashram (New York), and continued her Vedantic studies at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam (Pennsylvania), Arsha Vijnana Gurukulam (Oregon), and Dayananda Ashram (Rishikesh, India). She continues to study with a revered teacher of Advaita Vedanta in South India, deepening her understanding of the Upanishadic vision.

But beyond credentials and travels, her journey is deeply personal.

“I came to yoga as a seeker, but I stayed because it healed me. Years ago, I lived with rheumatic arthritis and anxiety flare-ups that left me restless in body and mind. Through steady, committed practice—breath, movement, silence—I experienced complete healing. What began as relief became a doorway into clarity, calm, and spiritual transformation.”

“Once you experience the quiet intelligence of yoga and meditation, the movement inward begins naturally. You don’t need anything external—your own body and mind are the starting point. We use them not to perfect or fix ourselves, but to understand... and ultimately, to transcend.”

Arpan’s teaching is meditative, inclusive, and grounded in the non-dual vision of Oneness. Whether guiding students through gentle breathwork, scriptural reflection, or silent witnessing, her approach honors both the simplicity and the depth of the yogic and Vedantic path.

“Yoga is not performance. It is presence. It is not reserved for the few; it is available to all. This path of healing and insight is open to you, just as you are. I invite you to approach it with openness and sincerity—and let it gently shift the way you see yourself and the world.”

"Arpan is an amazing Yoga Teacher. I have been doing Yoga for the past 3 months and I can see my flexibility has improved. She is very patient and even though its an online class, she makes sure that we have correct posture and explains the benefit of each pose. It has helped me to build a healthy mind and a healthy body and the whole experience is extremely calming. She has a very soothing voice and I feel energized and more focussed at the end of every session. It is making a big difference in my life."

"One of the best yoga instructor ever! She is very knowledgeable and patient. Making accommodations for new members, like me. She is helping me heal from an old injury while becoming stronger and more flexible. One of the best attributes is that her sessions are truly judgment-free and not at all competitive. I highly recommend her sessions to yogis of all levels. "

"I have been enjoying doing yoga with Arpan. She is a wonderful teacher who has a very nice flow to the class with mindfulness and reminders to watch the thoughts and posture. Arpan’s classes are weaved in with subtle challenges and relaxation, which makes it possible for a beginner to be able to participate. It has been a very positive experience for me."
